Sketch Your World: coming soon

UK cover...
An advance copy of Sketch Your World has arrived at my door. It contains the work of about 60 international artists, including mine, and is due to be published in the UK and US in January (they have different covers, shown here).

It focuses on the way a variety of artists go about drawing on location and what they do with those drawings: urban, rural, night-time, digital, people, architecture, in cafes, sketchcrawls, blogging...

I'll say this more than once, but my thanks again to the artists who kindly let me use images from their sketchbooks. A few of them are familiar faces from Urban Sketchers, but most are not. One of the most enjoyable elements of writing the book was selecting drawings by some of my favourite sketchbook artists. I will post a list of links to all the contributing artists in time.

...and the US cover
Did I say how happy I am with the way it has turned out? I have now. My thanks to the great team at RotoVision who made this come about. I'll blog and tweet more about the book nearer to publication time.

Looks like a great book James! I just saw the book on Amazon US and it has a very different cover than the UK edition. Looking forward to owning a copy!

Thanks, Richard. I've added the US cover above now also.

I was just looking up your book again on US Amazon and was bit surprise with the frequently bought together choice of books - Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Pastimes and Politic by Charles Krauthammer.
I would have put your book on my christmas list (my husband needs a list apparently) but its not available until Jan 10 2014 so have just put in my basket. Taking up painting and sketching in Hill country for the New Year. Been here for nearly 14 yrs. Time I tackle the subject!
Merry Christmas and a Happy 2014

I'm not sure what I have in common with Charles Krauthammer.
Yes, Sketch Your World is out in the US on 10 January 2014, as I understand it.
I hope you have a good break! A merry Christmas to you from London.
